Previs and real-time film production are essential parts of any modern filmmaking workflow. However, artists and filmmakers often rely on complex 3D tools with steep learning curves, tools that can kill creativity and slow down the process.

At RADiCAL, I led the design and development of entirely
new products like Canvas 3D ↗ and Live, a real-time motion capture solution ↗

The Canvas 3D project has brought over 50k users to sign up at Radical.

Historically, Radical relied solely on its motion capture solution, where users would simply create motion, download it, and leave.
With Canvas, we’ve managed to retain users by fulfilling their needs,  especially those in the previs and film sectors.

We reimagined the entire motion capture workflow and addressed key challenges throughout the product lifecycle, including designing a streamlined UX that works for both new and experienced users leading the RADiCAL product Canvas to win the 2024 UX Excellence Award ↗

Processing motion capture usually takes some time, and users have to wait. We’ve built a real time motion capture solution for quick character animation blockouts and further adjustments,  no waiting for results.

Developed a design language familiar to 3D artists and accessible to non 3D users through clear, user-friendly language.

Character animation without characters is pointless. We provided a character library, enabling users to quickly pose a variety of characters and bring their stories to life more easily and efficiently.

Filled iconography to represent real world physical objects.

Canvas is still growing with Radical. I proudly led the design and product strategy for its core features from 2022 to 2025, leaving at the point when Radical was about to close a financing deal. I wish the company the very best.
